Ferrysoft Property Investor is designed to help UK private residential landlords manage their rental properties. It interfaces to Microsoft Office Accounting to perform accounting transactions, such as receipt of rent from tenants. Ferrysoft Property Investor incorporates rental property specific terminology for interfacing to Microsoft Office Accounting. For example, customers are referred to as tenants within the accounting system.

- Ferrysoft Property Investor 1.0 is free.
- In order to use Ferrysoft Property Investor, one of the Microsoft Office Accounting editions must be installed. This can be the Microsoft Office Accounting Professional 2008 edition or the free Microsoft Office Accounting Express 2008 edition.
- It is recommended that a dedicated company is setup within Microsoft Office Accounting to track a property business. It is also recommended that the financial year of the dedicated company is set to match the UK tax year, starting on 6th April.
- Accounting data entered via Ferrysoft Property Investor is shared with Microsoft Office Accounting and vice-versa. Therefore, accounting transactions can be processed by either Ferrysoft Property Investor or Microsoft Office Accounting and the accounting data will always be synchronised.
