How to Enable JavaScript
Introduction
This article describes how to enable JavaScript in browsers supported by Ferrysoft Help Desk.
Ferrysoft Help Desk expects JavaScript to be enabled in order to work correctly.
Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or later
- In Microsoft Internet Explorer, click Internet Options on the Tools menu.
- Click the Security tab.
- Click Internet, Local intranet, Trusted Sites or Restricted Sites depending on which zone the site, for which you are enabling JavaScript, belongs to.
- Click Custom Level.
- Click Enable under Active Scripting.
- Click OK.
- Click Yes.
- Click OK.
Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.x
- In Microsoft Internet Explorer, click Internet Options on the Tools menu.
- Click the Security tab.
- Click Internet, Local intranet, Trusted Sites or Restricted Sites depending on which zone the site, for which you are enabling JavaScript, belongs to.
- Click Custom Level.
- Click Enable under Active Scripting.
- Click OK.
- Click Yes.
- Click OK.
Mozilla Firefox 1.0 or later
- In Mozilla Firefox, click Options on the Tools menu.
- Click the Web Features icon.
- Tick Enable JavaScript.
- Click OK.
Netscape Browser 8.0 or later
- In Netscape Browser, click Options on the Tools menu.
- Click the Site Controls icon.
- Tick Enable JavaScript.
- Click OK.
Netscape Browser 7.x
- In Netscape Browser, click Preferences on the Edit menu.
- Expand Advanced.
- Click Scripts & Plugins.
- Tick Enable JavaScript for Navigator.
- Click OK.
Opera 8.0 or later
- In Opera, open the Quick preferences menu on the Tools menu.
- If Enable JavaScript is not already ticked then tick Enable JavaScript on the Quick preferences menu.
Opera 7.x
- In Opera, open the Quick preferences menu on the File menu.
- If Enable Javascript is not already ticked then tick Enable Javascript on the Quick preferences menu.
